Every small business owner should know how to find employees, but not every small business owner is willing to put in the time or effort to find them. A large percentage of the small businesses that I have worked for over the years to hire someone from their own sales force. That may be fine for you, but if you are not using your sales representatives effectively in order to find the best candidates for your company you are throwing away a lot of money and waste a ton of time. This is why I make it a point to talk to my sales reps about how they can use their own sales skills to recruit new candidates rather than relying on the hiring and referral efforts of the owner. This is also why I am often the one who hands the job off to another local recruiter so that they can do a better job with the referrals and help turn them into actual job offers.
How To Find Employees Quickly And Easily!
I cannot tell you how many times I have talked to an owner who seems to have an unlimited amount of time on their hands and is frustrated because he does not seem to be able to find employees quickly enough to meet his current manpower goals. The owners’ inability to find qualified candidates has nothing to do with lack of effort, but everything to do with a failure to implement a comprehensive recruiting strategy. There are many employers who make the mistake of hiring people and letting them loose on the recruiting field. Many of these individuals end up on the wrong teams or having their offers rejected.
Many of the successful recruiters that I have worked with over the years have made it a point to create comprehensive recruiting plans that address the issues that potential candidates bring with them when they seek employment. These plans usually start out with an understanding of the types of candidates who typically seek jobs in your industry. They then develop a process to attract those candidates based on their skills and experiences that will be required for success in your industry. When you implement this type of comprehensive recruiting plan you will find employees much faster and you will attract top candidates that are more likely to stay with your company for the long term.
